ABOUT NADIA

I've spent over 17 years learning what leadership actually costs.
Not from a book. Not from a course. From being in the room — making real decisions, leading real teams, and navigating the kind of complexity that doesn't come with a playbook.

MY STORY
—
I didn't start out as a CEO. I started out as someone who cared deeply about my work and people.
My work has always been about people: how they grow, lead, and how organizations create space for both. I started on the frontline, working directly with young people and communities, and over 17 years progressed into national executive leadership, running multi-site organizations and leading teams through growth, change, and complexity.
Most of my career has been in the nonprofit and education space, where the stakes are real and the resources are never enough. That environment taught me how to make hard decisions, hold people accountable with care, and lead with both clarity and humility.
That realization changed everything for me and eventually led to NKS Collective.

— THE MOMENT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
—
WHY I BUILT THIS
I kept watching talented people struggle — not because they lacked ability, but because no one had taught them how to lead.
Throughout my career I've worked alongside incredibly capable people who struggled the moment they stepped into leadership roles. They knew their work inside and out. But decision-making under pressure, holding people accountable, navigating complexity, leading through change — no one had ever taught them how to do any of that.
And I realized that's not their fault. Leadership isn't something you just step into. It's something that has to be developed, practiced, and supported. Most people are just expected to figure it out.
"Leadership isn't something you just step into — it's something that has to be developed, practiced, and supported. NKS Collective exists to change that."
NKS Collective is my answer to that gap. A space where leadership is taught differently, not through frameworks and checklists, but through perspective, real experience, and the kind of thinking that actually changes how you lead.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK
I'm naturally quiet when I'm processing. That tends to surprise people.
People often experience me as decisive and clear. But behind that is someone who reflects deeply before she moves. I've learned that both can be true at the same time. You can be thoughtful and still lead with confidence.
Outside of this work, I'm a wife, a mother, a sister, a best friend, and a godmother. I'm a caregiver in more ways than one. I sing and lead at my church, and I show up in my community the same way I show up in boardrooms — with my whole self.
I'm also a business owner who understands firsthand what it means to build something from the ground up while still holding everything else together. That's the version of leadership most people don't talk about. I do.
NKS Collective is an extension of everything I've learned, lived, and led. It exists because leadership should be taught differently and because people deserve spaces where they can grow into who they're becoming.
